Number three in a series of four new Macallans for the Duty free market, ‘Macallan Terra Single Malt Scotch Whisky’ employs first-fill Sherry-seasoned casks sourced from the Tevasa and Vasyma families of wood suppliers in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Reports have it this is closer to the 100% sherry matured expressions Macallan became famous for. Expect aromas and flavours of dried fruits, lemon zest, light ginger and ripening apple.

Pours sunset orange. Dried fruits are tempered by lemon zest, toffee and light ginger. Aged oak rises on the nose. Sweet dried fruits, subtle tones of ripening apple. Heavy and fresh on the palate. Medium length. Dried fruit and wood spices.

Matured exclusively in first-fill European and first-fill American oak casks sourced from two of the most distinguished family cooperages, The Macallan Terra honors the very best of sherry seasoned oak from both continents.
