Tasting note: Gold colour with a pale straw hue. The malt-rich nose is semi sweet with hints of baked apple and nashi pear, but it’s the barley that’s expressing itself so purely here, and as it enters the mouth it’s almost crunchy. Full flavours of crisp, off-dry malt and mixed cereals fill the mouth. A light toastiness is apparent followed by a subtle spiciness. Perfect balance. Long aftertaste of roasted barley, spice and liquorice bullets. Delicious malt. Like a spiced up muesli bar for grown ups. 46% Alc./Vol.
Officially launched in 2006, this 10 year old lies at the heart of the Isle of Arran range and exudes all the honeyed richness we have come to associate with the island distillery.
