Created by current Distillery manager, John Campbell as a tribute to the managers who preceded him. This Travel Retail Exclusive Laphroaig was left to rest in first-fill, over-charred ex-bourbon barrels before further maturing in large, new European oak hogsheads, never before used by the distillery. The latter provide a slower maturation than traditional casks. The signature peat smoke combined with soft oak results in a whisky of great depth.
