For those that prefer their rye whisky served neat for sipping, Jack Daniels Rye Whiskey will be a welcome addition to their bar shelves. The first new recipe the company has developed in 150 years, it is made up of 70% Rye, 18% Corn, 12% Malted Barley.
This and its charred oak cask aging gives it an aroma reminiscent of bananas and marshmallows with just a hint of char and orchard fruit. Its taste is distinctly smokey, as any Jack should be, but smooth and rich with heavy tones of candied spices and pure oak tannins.
