Briefly made available as a 40%ABV release in 2008 before being discontinued the following year, Jura 21 is back on the shelves. Re-released at 44% for the 200th anniversary of the distillery in 2010, it’s matured in x Bourbon barrels then finished in vintage 1963 oloroso sherry casks. From the distillery with some of the highest stills in Scotland, expect a lighter bodied, silky, delicately peated malt with aromas and flavours of marzipan, crushed walnuts and bitter chocolate. Extremely limited stocks.
