Nestled in a quiet clearing, surrounded by fragrant gorse and towering pines, the Tarlogie Spring has served as the sole water source for the Glenmorangie distillery since 1843. Its unique, mineral-rich waters are said to contribute to the distillery’s fragrant house style. Aged in virgin oak as well as ex-bourbon casks. Extremely limited stocks at this price. We may (or may not) be able to secure more of this in the coming months.Tasting note: Bright gold. Floral soft aromas evoke barley sugar, honey, shortbread and cream tea biscuits followed by ripe peach and pepper. In the mouth, this feels more concentrated than 43%; Virgin oak injects coconut and creamy vanillas while the citrus and spice add spark and freshness, finishing with beeswax, cocoa and tangy peel (orange / lime?) It’s a beautiful arrangement that’s at least as good as the 18 year old. Very Glenmorangie with a lot going on. 43% Alc./Vol
