We don’t see many new releases from Deanston and this one caught our attention for more than one reason. The malt is first matured in ex-bourbon casks giving the liquid a wonderful zesty character, and then finished in new (virgin) oak barrels which impart additional wood notes including subtle spiced aromas.
Certified organic, Deanston produce their own clean energy to run the distillery. Bottles and packaging use recycled and recyclable materials.
This edition is also non-chill filtered and bottled at over 46% for maximum flavour.
