Chartreuse Genepi des Peres Chartreux
A traditional digestif, this elegant, floral-styled liqueur takes its name from aromatic Alpine plants, typically of the genus Artemisia. For the local mountaineers, it’s a tradition to harvest the flowers in August and macerate them in alcohol. Each has their own “secret” recipe – as do the Chartreuse Monks: Having been distillers for four centuries, they’ve perfected a formula derived from several macerations and distillations resulting in a liqueur that’s exploding with flavour.
