This version of Aberlour 12 Year is also bottled at a higher ABV (48%) than their chill-filtered expression.
This twelve year old Aberlour has been bottled without chill-filtration. Most malt whiskies are chill-filtered to prevent the whisky becoming cloudy when adding water or ice.
This means that it retains the full body and flavour of the whisky from the cask, although it may go cloudy if water is added or it gets cold.
