This premium 100% agave tequila is twice distilled and matured for three years in French and American oak casks. The only ingredient used in fermentation is the native Mexican agave plant, whereas most commercially available tequilas use the cheaper method of mixing agave with other sugars. Compared to these “mixto tequilas”, pure agave spirits such as the acclaimed 1800 Anejo Tequila Reserva are characterised by a superior smoothness that sets them far above what you might be used to finding (and avoiding) on the bottom shelf of bars.
