The Macallan Fine Oak 12 Year Old Triple Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml In what is the most significant new product launch in Macallan’s illustrious 180 year history – The Macallan Fine Oak range – is finally available in Australia.

These whiskies represent a completely new range of expressions which have been matured in carefully selected European and American oak casks which have previously held Sherry or Bourbon.

As always with The Macallan, the colour is completely natural and is derived solely from the interaction of spirit and wood. Of the new selection, John Hansell of ‘Malt Advocate Magazine’ commented: ‘The Fine Oak range is…more approachable, and has the potential to be embraced by a greater percentage of whisky drinkers….cutting back on the sherry reveals more of the Macallan spirit,

which is first-class.’ Distilled at the Macallan distillery in Speyside, this Single Malt is carefully matured for a minimum of 12 years. The unique combination of Bourbon and Sherry oak casks produces a particularly smooth, delicate and light whisky.

The 12 year old expression from The Macallan Fine Oak Range, matured in a selection of American and European oak casks seasoned with Sherry, as well as American oak casks seasoned with bourbon.

The Macallan Fine Oak 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky sees the expert marrying of different oaks to produce a malt of true distinction. A blend of American oak and Spanish oak used to house Bourbon and Sherry impart a rich, yet delicate flavour. Remarkable blending skills are on show here from a Highland distillery acclaimed the world over.
